Yes. You can update your usage policy at any time from your dashboard. Changes apply to future licensing requests and do not retroactively change an already signed agreement.
Once a license is agreed, both parties can rely on its defined terms for the agreed duration and scope. Your usage policy can still change for future requests, but it does not automatically change an existing license. Changes to an existing agreement are handled according to its terms, and violations remain subject to the remedies agreed in the license.
Yes. You can set your policy to decline AI licensing while still using KONAI to record, manage and report unauthorized use of your likeness.

KONAI can help identify potential unauthorized use of your registered likeness, notify you on your dashboard and provide a way to review and report it.
Registering old or current works, with or without use of AI, creates a documented record of your association with the work and its registration, and gives you a way to detect and challenge unauthorized use of that existing content, not just future uploads.
You’ll provide a small set of identity and supporting materials needed to verify you and register your profile. Additional materials may be requested depending on how you choose to use KONAI.
Compensation & Licensing
Every license includes pre-agreed compensation terms that you review before approval. You can negotiate the terms of the deal and choose how you want to receive your payment, including available payment options through KONAI; use of those payment options is not mandatory.
Yes. You can set or negotiate different terms depending on the company, project, use, duration, or other conditions of a deal.
Not necessarily. You remain in control of your approval preferences and can authorize a representative to manage requests on your behalf.
Enforcement & Disputes
Report it directly from your dashboard — KONAI will start a formal takedown action, log a secure record of your report and preserve evidence on your behalf.
The rights granted through a license are limited to its agreed scope and terms. If you believe a licensee has exceeded those rights, you can report it through KONAI so the agreement and relevant records can be reviewed and the appropriate remedies pursued.

Yes. Permissions are managed separately for each talent, with terms that can vary by use, scope, duration and other conditions. A talent’s standing policy may also differ from the terms negotiated for a specific deal.

The agency can negotiate and approve licensing requests within the authority granted by the talent. Talent retains visibility into activity conducted on their behalf, and any request outside that authority requires the appropriate approval.

KONAI helps agencies identify, structure and manage new AI-related licensing opportunities for their roster, including use cases that may not fit traditional talent agreements.
Agencies can establish preferred terms or baseline conditions for their roster, while individual deals can be negotiated according to the specific use and scope.
Payment terms are mutually agreed by the relevant parties and recorded in the license. Any payment arrangements, including how and when payment is made or subsequently allocated between the parties, are governed by the terms of their agreement. The platform provides an escrow payment option, but its use is not mandatory.
Enforcement & Disputes
A use outside the agreed scope constitutes a license violation. You can report the violation through KONAI, where the relevant license and transaction records can be reviewed and the appropriate enforcement or resolution process initiated. Relevant records can also be preserved to support resolution or legal action that may follow.

Licensing & Rights Scope
You define exactly what use you are licensing for and what you are licensing upfront — face, voice, performance, or a combination. The agreed scope is documented in the contract before use begins.
Resale rights are defined and agreed at the time of licensing, so nothing is assumed after the deal is done. A licensed likeness cannot be used for a new purpose, campaign or AI creation outside the agreed scope without additional authorization. Where further use is needed, you can seek a new or renewed license.
Every requirement — usage, compensation, duration and restrictions — is defined upfront, so negotiations start from clarity and you build with confidence instead of ending in disputes.
Assets & Production
Yes. Licensed assets are intended to be AI-ready and suitable for commercial production use, not just consumer-level content.
Once both parties agree to the terms and sign the agreement, the applicable license can be issued immediately. Where assets are part of the agreed workflow, they can be accessed within 48 hours of licensing, depending on the agreed production format. This can significantly reduce negotiating, licensing and waiting time compared with fragmented manual workflows.
Ownership & Protection
You retain ownership of the content you create, subject to any rights or obligations agreed with the relevant parties. The license grants you defined rights to use the talent’s likeness to create content; it does not transfer ownership of the likeness itself to you or to KONAI.
Content created through a licensed workflow carries a verifiable certificate record showing the relevant rights and licensing provenance associated with its creation.
No. A verification certificate record does not itself transfer ownership; it only verifies the true rights holder. Any transfer of rights must be authorized by the rights holder according to the applicable terms.
